Use buttons
The quickest way to take a screenshot is to use the buttons. You can simultaneously hold down the Volume Down and Power buttons and hold them down until the screenshot is captured. You can use this method to make a scrolling screenshot.

Again, it all depends on custom shells. A pure Android throws pictures into the gallery (DCIM). Other shells can save screenshots to a different folder for your usability.
